Marvin Clark also attends Old Car Sunday in the Park, at Fraser River Regional Heritage Park, Mission, British Columbia, with his extremely customized and re-engineered Excalibur. He has been developing this car for about 20 years, including the recent addition of a new, highly chromed and polished, fuel-injected, powerful, small-block-Chevy, crate engine. Marvin is a master mechanic, and owner/operator (now retired) of an automotive shop, in Burnaby. Marv and I have spent many hours working on my 1956 Ford.

When not singing and playing guitar in a rock and roll band, my pen pal (email pal) Bob Santa Lucia (aka DoWop) is showing his stock 1957 Oldsmobile (now sold) at New York Capital District Region cruise-ins. On Monday evenings, he attends the Capital District Cruisers'  1,000 car cruise-in at Guptill's Arena (the world's largest indoor roller skating arena), Latham, NY. On Wednesdays, he goes to Leadfoot Lucy's Cruise-In at Fuddruckers Restaurant, "making the world a burger place," Colonie, NY.

Jim Black built this vintage-small-block-Chevy 1940 Ford about 40 years ago, and has had it ever since. He recently upgraded the carburetor, and added new bias-ply tires. The red-painted rims retain the car's authentic nostalgia-look. It is displayed here at a 2006 A&W Cruise-in, in North Vancouver, B.C. This is a real "old school" hot rod.

Ray Mitchell is a Flathead guy (the engine - not Ray), and a member of the Early Ford V8 Club of Amarica, Regional Group #120, Lower Mainland, British Columbia. This rare, gorgeous 1951 Mercury Monterey is one of his Flathead cars, shown here at the 2007 Father's Day Show 'n Shine, Seaside Cruizers, in Qualicum Beach (Vancouver Island), B.C.

Ted and Sharon Forbes also brought their rare, 3-carb 1956 Meteor Rideau Crown Victoria to the 2007 Father's Day Show 'n Shine, Seaside Cruizers, in Qualicum Beach. The car won "Best of Show." They have a collection of classic cars - many are superbly restored by Ted. They enjoy attending car shows in British Columbia, Alberta, Washington, and as far away as Reno, Nevada for Hot August Nights®. Their local, Saturday-evening, cruise-in spot is Francelli's Coffee House, in Victoria. Ted and Sharon are active members of the Crown Victoria Association.

Onlookers give well-deserved attention to Ken and Gail Searle's spectacular 1956 Ford Fairlane Sunliner at the 2007 Father's Day Show 'n Shine, Seaside Cruizers, in Qualicum Beach. Ken's goal was to bolt on evey OEM option available, when restoring this car - he succeeded! Ken is a seasoned mechanic and owner/operator of Searles Auto Repair in Victoria. Ken and Gail are also active members of the Crown Victoria Association.

Ken and Gail Searle's stunning 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria Skyliner (Glass Top) is presented here at the 10th AnnualPacific NW Regional Meet, Crown Victoria Association, car show, in downtown Puyallup (near Seattle), Washington, August 16, 2008. This finely-crafted, highly-optioned, superbly-coloured automobile must be the most beautiful 1955 "Glass Top" in existance. Of course, it easly won a "People's Choice" award. Well done, Ken.

Karen and Monte Moore's judged, national-award-winning 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria Skyliner (Glass Top) also on display at the 10th Annual Pacific NW Regional Meet, Crown Victoria Association, car show, in downtown Puyallup (near Seattle), Washington, August 16, 2008. Ford only made 1,999 of these cars. This one was carefully restored to be assembly-line correct. Yes, it is a "Trailer Queen."

Rockie and Ann Collins also attended the 10th Annual Pacific NW Regional Meet, Crown Victoria Association, in Puyallup. Their 1956 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria is parked beside a 1955 Ford Fairlane "Bumblebee" Sunliner. Rockie used his "wrenching" skills to restore the very-stock Crown. It is superb, and won a "People's Choice" award. Rockie is an ex-racecar driver, and a 2006 inductee into the Victoria Auto Racing Hall of Fame. Click here to see him discuss his racing career.

Paul Arcand's 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Town Victoria on display at the 2007 Shelby American Automobile Club's Shelby / Mustang / Ford Day show, sponsored by Hallmark Ford Sales, in Surrey, British Columbia. Body, paint, and interior refurbishing have been done. Paul is currently doing mechanical work on (or should I say under?) the car. A great 1957 Ford reference website is 1957Ford.com.

Greg and Sandi Balmer's limited-edition, high-performance, stock 2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1 (now sold), is also shown here at the 2007 Shelby American Automobile Club's Shelby / Mustang / Ford Day show, sponsored by Hallmark Ford Sales, in Surrey. This is a judged, high-point, multi-award winning show car. Greg regularly attends the (1,200 car) Mustangs Northwest Roundup, in Bellevue, Washington. At the 2007 Roundup, the judges awarded the car a "Gold" award in the "Concours Driven 1999 - 04 All" class. Greg is member of the Greater Vancouver Mustang Association and a member of the Mustang Club of America. This wide-angle-lens photo makes Greg look tall - either that, or all those vitamins really did kick in.
